DECEMBER

Waterfalls are my second favorite thing to photograph (a very close second behind mountains). Technically speaking, they are a fun challenge, requiring a tripod (sometimes), a polarizing filter, an ND filter, and some understanding of how shutter speed works to achieve that classic buttery look. If you took a look at some of my first waterfall shots and compared them to this, you’d see quite a lot of growth!

This image was taken in Buttermilk Falls State Park, a few hours outside of New York City.
